Romanian Red Garlic Planted!

My Romanian Red hardneck garlic arrive a couple weeks, just in time to be planted.  So, on Sunday 10-14 I did just that.  The 1lb, amounted to 11 bulbs or 62 individual cloves, which I planted into 4 rows.

I covered the raised bed with wire in an effort to keep the darn squirrels from digging and rooting and tearing things up but also to keep the deer and other pests out too.

I've since covered with a thick layer of a grass and leaf mulch from the last time I mowed the lawn.  Hoping to see new garlic plants poking their heads through soon and before the real cold weather sets in.
