Our beloved Jack 2.0 passed away last night.
We lost track of just how old he was but suffice to say, he was an old timer, and a really good rabbit. He had a great temperament, was friendly and loved to be scratched behind his ears and was a proud dad to many litters.
He'd been in decline for a while now but the last week or so he seemed to get worse, so it wasn't too much of a surprise to see he passed. He was peacefully laying on his side, nestled amongst the hay, as if he simply went to sleep.
One of the last things I saw him eat, one of his favorites, was a fortune cookie. I always saved him at least one when we ordered Chinese and he always enjoyed them and would eagerly chow them down.
We were able to give him a proper burial.
He will be missed ;-(
