Circle Just O K...

We stopped in and had lunch at the Circle S Butcher Block & Farm Kitchen in Greeneville yesterday afternoon -

We stopped in once before, over a year ago, but didn't stay. Can't be too sure why but I believe we had an appointment and was looking for something relatively quick and to-go, so we passed.

It has the 'kitchen' feel, which is fine, however, I was expecting more of a pub feel.  The food wasn't too bad but again it was more kitcheney than I would have liked. I got barbeque beans as a side and they were very tasty!  The service could have been better and our waitress a bit friendlier but not too bad.

While seated waiting for our food, we watched an old farmer through the front window of the restaurant, relive himself out in the front parking lot - I kid you not!  He positioned himself behind his opened driver side truck door with his backside to Rt 11E, yes a major highway, and there was no mistaken what he was doing.  However, instead of relieving himself directly on the ground, it appeared he went into a container of some sort, EWWW!  The ironic thing to me was he had just finished eating in the Circle S which has bathrooms!  So why didn't he use the restroom inside and why was he doing his "business" out for everyone to see...well that I cannot answer. Another one of life's mysteries.

He was still in the parking lot when we were leaving, sitting on the tailgate of his truck, and I will tell you he was a VERY friendly and chatty old man.

I would go back but it would not be high on my list as a Greeneville option.
