Gobble Gobble Gobble!

I got my Thanksgiving flags out, replacing my Halloween ones.

Hard to believe the holiday season is upon again.

We had our first hard frost last week.  You can see the result it had on my hydrangea in the picture above, zapped every leaf.  A bit unsightly at the moment but once they drop and I rake them up, this area will look a lot better but for now, it is what it is (God I hate that saying,...).

Snow On The Flag

A dusting of snow the other morning -

Merica!

This flag has seen better days.

Still standing tall and unwavering!

When I was growing up and in grade school we stood, faced the flag, put our right hand over of heart and recited the Pledge of Allegiance every morning -

I pledge Allegiance to the flag

of the United States of America

and to the Republic for which it stands,

one nation under God, indivisible,

with Liberty and Justice for all.

Political correctness runs a muck yet again. Heaven forbid if someone gets offended, we can't have that now. Let's be fair to everyone; everyone gets a trophy too just for participating. We'll build a mosque at ground zero but a veteran can't fly the American flag?! It just isn't right, not right at all!
