Soak It In!

Yesterday was an absolutely gorgeous day, sunny and warm, and not a cloud in the sky!

This was my afternoon view, sitting in my front yard, taking a break from my chores -

I even have one new hydrangea bloom flowering, this late in the season.  This one plant was loaded with flowers this summer, as you can see the older ones still there.  That's one happy plant, which means I'm one happy homeowner -

I'm enjoying it while I can.

Bulbous!

The colors on my hydrangea flowers this season are awesome!

So much so that I cut and brought some inside to enjoy.

Chameleon like in the sense that they seem to be changing colors to match the vase they're in, cool right?!

I have (5) hydrangea bushes in my front flower beds.  They're big and full and beautiful, however, only one ever flowers.  Even when these plants were elsewhere on the property, same deal, only the one would flower.  I've tried leaving the old growth, nothing.  I've tried cutting them back, nothing.  Not sure what the issue is but would be nice if all five flowered.

Blue on Blue

We have (5) Hydrangea bushes and, frustratingly, only get flowers from two of them. One of the two is flowering for a second time this season, which is unusual, for our plants anyway but of course welcome.

Although, the weather has been very hot and humid, the mornings have been beautiful.

First Hard Frost of The Fall

Our hydrangea's still has/had several stunning flowers on them!

Here is one taken on the morning of 10/16 -

Here is the same flower taken on the morning of 10/19, after a hard frost passed through the area the night before -

It's official now, the New England growing season has come to an end.
