Can you find the critter in the pic below?
It’s a nice picture of the trees but not so much of the critter I’ve been trying to photograph -
I’m not familiar with this bird, and until spotting it here around our pond, it’s my first time actually seeing one in person.
They seem like a very skittish bird, similar to the Blue Jay, as it takes off as soon as I near the pond, so this is the best I’ve been able to do so far but will keep trying.
It’s a Kingfisher; I believe a Belted Kingfisher!
And a very cool looking bird!
