On Sunday, May 25th I planted two 4' rows of carrots -
Caged and fenced in they survived the wild rabbit invasion and assault -
I hand watered them every couple of days throughout the hot summer -
97 days later, today Sunday, August, 31, I harvested said carrots -
Although, I've trimmed them and brought them inside, they're still sitting next to the sink. That's tomorrow morning project to wash, count, bag and get then in the refrigerator.
The yield all cleaned -
Can't beat the feeling and satisfaction of harvesting something you've grown from seed and tended to all summer long. I can already tell these are gonna be delicious too! By the way, where did the 97 days go?!
