Useful, Not Pressing...

Scored myself a free ironing board!  It's needs some screws tightened, an adjustment here and there, and a cleaning or perhaps a new ironing board cover, then I'll be off to the races.

Admittedly, not the greatest but since I didn't have one before this will suffice until I buy myself a new one. Ironing dress shirts, dress pants and window valences is tough when using a towel on the counter, too slippery, but works in a pinch.

Red Couch Chair, Free!

I belong to a local yardsale-type Facebook group.  Most are Franklin or neighboring town residents that sell stuff.  This particular posting grabbed my attention immediately.  Nope, not because it was listed as "FREE".  Nope again, not because it was listed as "very comfy", although tempting.  Rather, what caught my attention was the visible condition of the item! The listing says, "some cosmetic damage", but good lord what I see is NOT cosmetic damage, c'mon man.  Seems a lion or tiger was sharpening their claws on this jewel.

Not surprising, I passed on this freebie...

Look! Up In The Sky...

There a pub we ride to that's at the intersection of Rt.140 and Rt.62 located in Spencer, MA.  It's a good meeting location and a jumping off point for some of our longer rides, i.e. up to the Quabbin Reservoir.

The town of Spencer has it's own single runway airport, which is just off of Rt.140 which is all I know about it.  However, when we're in the area on weekends there is almost always glider planes floating above us high up in the sky.

The picture above, although a somewhat cloudy morning, shows a prop-type plane pulling a glider plane up, up, up into the sky.  The glider eventually breaks free and effortlessly floats above us.

It's quite a site to see and watch.

Too bad I don't like heights, otherwise this would be something to put on the ole bucket list...
