Flash Back Days!

HaHaHa, reminds me of back in the early days of cable and trying to catch a glimpse of a boobie on a scrambled movie channel late at night!  I mean a friend told me when HE try this...

This is what I received via Verizon On Demand when I selected the movie, "13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi"... pixelation.

Any The Walking Dead fans out there?

Is thirteen too young to watch this program?

My Emile is addicted to The Walking Dead and I mean addicted!

I stumbled upon this program midway through it's second season and have been hooked.  However, I never went back to watch from the beginning.  That's changed now that Emilie's hooked.  We've been watching a couple episodes a night the past couple of weeks and have completed through season 4.

Season 6 is coming to an end this coming Sunday and it's not yet available on NetFlix.  So, this is causing Emile withdrawals, we'll have to wait until it's available.

There were a couple very moving episodes that brought Emilie to tears.  One in particular had her extremely upset.  So much so that she didn't or rather couldn't tell me good night.  She just headed straight to bed.  

I was greeted with the following note hanging on my bathroom door when I retired for the night.  As you can see she was explaining just how upset she was.

This is the lamp (bulb) from our Samsung HL-T5676S DLP TV. As you can see half of it has a foggy gloss on the inside of the bulb, which doesn't make for a clear picture.

"Apparently, lamps used in DLP TVs have a limited lifespan. SO, for the best screen quality it needs to be replaced periodically. It should be replaced when the screen becomes darker and less clear. After replacing, the screen quality will be bright and clear as new."

The above it all true, I've experienced it.

Of course the lamp decided to let us know it needed replacing during the Boston Bruin's playoff run. At the time I just thought it was really, really dark at the game, DOH!

Google and the Internet are my friends, and I was able to find a replacement bulb with USPS first class shipping for under sixty bucks. It arrived yesterday and I installed it in short order and as Samsung claims, the screen quality is now bright and clear as new. Sadly, hockey season is over and I don't need to see a clear picture of Dr. Oz but we're ready for hockey season to begin come the fall...

Giddy Up!

Stumbled across what I've since decided is my new favorite TV program.

It's called, "Last American Cowboy" and airs on the Animal Planet.

This epic adventure follows three Montana families of tough, tenacious and headstrong cowboys through freak storms, deadly outbreaks of disease, hungry predators and forest fires that threaten their livelihood.

Good stuff. Montanna looks to be a beautiful place.

Boob Tube

We enjoy and look forward each week to watching Hell's Kitchen. Hell's Kitchen is an American reality-television cooking competition that airs Tuesday nights at 9:00PM EST on Fox Television.

Although this is the fourth season of Hell's Kitchen, we only got turned on to it this season, good stuff as far as reality TV goes!

My new favorite phrase that is used often throughout each episode by volatile British master chef Gordon Ramsay is, "piss off'.

TheFreeDictionary definition of 'piss off' (verb) means; to go away: often used to dismiss a person.

I plan on incorporating this phrase into my daily verbage, so please don't take it personally or be offended. After all, I believe this is how the British chaps speak, plus all the profane language is transmitted uncensored in many countries unlike here in the US - thanks (for nothing) FCC.
