Bundled Up, Then Bundled Up More!

"Crazy is as crazy does.".

Being in the low 30's and with the windchill in the upper teens, we took in the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills football game at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro this past Sunday, the last game of the regular season.

Our seats were in section 335, which is almost at the top of the stadium seating and where the wind gusts were ripping, BRRR!

The recently rebuilt lighthouse and the tallest lighthouse in America, Lighthouse Landing, now has 360-degree observation deck, known as the Lookout that provides spectacular panoramic views of the stadium and the surrounding area, including the Boston and Providence skylines -

The view of the field from our seats -

The final score -
New England Patriots 24
Buffalo Bills 16

With the win, only their 4th of the season, the Patriots squandered their chance at the No. 1 pick in 2025 NFL Draft.  Instead they fall into the number 4 slot, alas.

Although, a very cold day, the game was a good take.  It was a good game and from a fan perspective, a win is a win, and I have high hopes I'll be able to feel my toes again soon...

"Let's Go!"

Went to the New England Patriot's first preseason game of the season!

Section 335 -

Got to see the new and recently unveiled video screen first hand. The curved board measures 370 feet by 60 feet, equating to 22,000 square feet and nearly half of an acre. It is five times larger than the one it replaced -

Someone was either picked up or dropped off via helicopter during the game.  The pic below was the helicopter taking off but before it flew off, it hovered there for quite some time taking in the game -

We were fortunate that the rain held off and were spared getting soaked.  Would have been nice had the Pats won but no matter it was a nice take and a nice night out, plus it's only a  preseason game.

CMGI Field, What?!

How many of you all recall when, what is now known as Gillette Stadium, the home to our New England Patriots, was originally supposed to be called CMGI Field?! Based on the date stamp on the pictures, this was back in 2002.

The stadium, parking lot signs had all be named CMGI Field.  I don't recall why, and honestly can't be bothered this morning to research, but the sponsorship fell through.

For some reason I made my way to the stadium and took some pictures before all signage was changed to Gillette Stadium.

Offsite Event

Welcome to the Putnam Club!

I attended Cisco Connect Boston 2019, held at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.

A good take.  One for staying closer to home and still getting credit for working.  I was a super cold day too but make for a couple great pictures of where the GOAT and Squirrel play...

Work Related Event

I attended a Cisco Systems Inc. event at Gillette Stadium this past Thursday.  We were inside and had a terrific view looking down on the field.  The event was a busy one, but the ground crew looked equally as busy outside.

The Sparrows were already on their seats waiting for the game to begin -

In Attendance I Was!

I received a surprise phone call Wednesday evening from my neighbor asking if I'd like to go to the New England Patriots vs Chicago Bears preseason game at Gillette Stadium and I said YES!

Although, I've been in Gillette Stadium many many times, this was the fist time evah attending a Pats game in all my years.

It was a perfect night for the game with free parking just outside the entrance gate and our seats were terrific.  Plus, and of course, the Pats won the game 23 to 22.  Unfortunately, the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time), Tom Brady didn't play, nor was he in attendance.  Thank goodness the Patriots Cheerleaders were on hand...

Ticket in hand -

Who remembers when Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots...

Was originally and briefly named CMGI Field after the trouble Internet firm CMGI?

Back in 2002.

Kickoff Celebration!!

Our sister company resigned their partnership with the New England Patriots.  In celebration of the signing, the company had a kickoff celebration on Tuesday morning.

The cafeteria was decorated in red, white and blue, Patriot colors, with balloons and snacks.

Jonathon Kraft, the Patriots president, was on hand, as was alums Joe Andruzzi and Andre Tippett.  Also, "Pat" the Patriot and Patriot cheerleaders!

Jonathon, Joe and Andre spoke to the gathering and discussed the Pat's, their careers and predictions for the upcoming season.

The discussions were followed with meet and greets, picture taking and autograph signings.

It was a great take and nicely done!

New England colored popcorn -

Their (4) heavy Superbowl rings!  We were able to handle them, and as you can see don them for an awesome photo op -

Also their (4) Lombardy trophy were also onsite -

Of course a photo or two or three, with signed autographs, of me and the cheerleaders -

Go Pats Go!

First New England Patriots preseason game of 2015 was held in Foxborough last night!

Although the game ended in a loss for the Pats, it was nice to have football back on TV.

The DirectTV blimp flew over our house in Franklin just prior to kickoff.

Always a site to see.

Go Pats!

Deflate-gate Faux Pas

Came across this interesting Twitter post from Ryan Leaf, retired NFL quarterback.

Well said in my opinion!
