I came across this freaky thing while raking the other day, YIKES!
Seems appropriate with Halloween right around the corner!
Turns out this isn't some spooky Halloween prop but rather a female prepupal Polyphemus caterpillar.
Interesting, especially up close and personal, to say the least.
After the photo shoot, I took her back outside and placed her safely under a shrub and covered with leaves.
