This White-breasted Nuthatch was bee-boppin up and down, round and round and from tree to tree. Here he is foraging on a Boxelder tree and stopping to pose for this picture.
Nope that's not Spiderbird clinging to the side of that Box Elder tree, nope. Rather that's a White Breasted Nuthatch.
They're about the same size as the Chickadee but they sport a cool looking blue-grey topside. They love the suet we put out and can often be seen filling their bellies upside down.
Here's a White Breasted Nuthatch cautiously grabbing a bite to eat from our bird feeder. They're a skittish bird, constantly looking around and listening. They don't stay long, rather they come and go constantly.
We have the Yellow Breasted Nuthatch that also visits but I've yet to get a good picture.
