Lap It Up

Seems I was sold a bill of goods!

They said this was a bird bath but clearing that is NOT the case after witnessing the below this morning -

Shoo! Scat! Scram!

Um, seems we have a cat now…

This was an odd site to see first thing in the morning because we do NOT have a cat!

Believe this is one of the many cats we’ve seen down at one of the neighbors houses off Pritchard.

I’d sic Ms. Trixie after it but worried she’d get her butt kicked, alas.

Shush!

Cat on a hot tin roof -

Seems like an odd spot for a "cat" nap.

You Are NOT Gonna Believe This

Someone call Guinness immediately!

This is BIGGER than pictures of big foot or the yeti!

I have pictures, actual pictures and maybe even a video, of a cat walking on water!  Yup, you read that right, A CAT WALKING ON WATER!

See for yourself below -

It's uncanny!

I will name this cat Jesus, for he too walked on water.

Urge To Kill Rising

Akin to placing a seashell against your ear to hear the ocean, you can also go outside every morning some where around 5:00AM to 5:30AM Eastern time and listen closely, it's quite possible that you can hear me screaming and cursing, as I'm either cleaning up cat puke from my carpets or scooping cat excrement from the litter box!

Who's idea was it to domesticate cats?  I'd like to dig this person up, just to be able to slap them in the face!

Grumpy The Cat

Gosh, I really hate cats.  Honestly, they're really good for nothing, especially when they're a house cat.  You could argue an outside cat or a barn cat has some value to some degree and earns it's keep by keeping the rodents in check but otherwise what good are they, UGH!  That being said, I think I took a great picture here, which sorta backs what I'm saying.

This is my aunts and uncles cat, Pepe or Pele or PeePee or some shit, and he just look so darn grumpy and miserable, just look at that face. To boot, like most cats, this cat doesn't have a care in the world, yet hello mister what-r-you-looking-at...

Cats, Not The Musical

These two cats have been visiting the ole homestead the last couple of days.

It's not unusual but uncommon, as I don't think too many feline owners let their cats out to roam these days for fear of them being snatched by a predator or even hit by a speeding car; Lincoln street is busy.

When I was a kid growing up, our cats were outside cats and seldom allowed in the house.  There was no litter box.  They were fed outside and did their business outside. Seems many of today's cats have lost some of their natural instincts from home confinement and all around laziness; they've literally become 'fat cats'!  Sadly, like many of today's kids - my opinion anyway.

I welcome them and hope they're on the hunt and helping to reduce the rodent population in and around my yard, too many rabbits, chipmunks and mice.

Mr. Grumpy Cat

The king on his throne!

He's just SO grumpy at times.

Just look at his puss and the glare he's giving me, what a dink!

He sleeps in the weirdest positions -

And in the weirdest places too -

He has his favorite spots for sure but some of the spots he picks are odd and seemingly out of the blue. He's always content wherever he decides to nap.

The Life of Riley

Trixie dog and Oliver cat sure do live a stress free life; No worries in the world.

I can only assume these are comfortable positions, as I often see these two in similar and weird positions quite often.

I love Trixie.  She's been my confidant and saving grace this past year!

Oliver I tolerate.  He's really a good cat, however, I do NOT like a) any aspect of his litter box and b) his throwing up, which is almost always on the carpet!  Why not the linoleum, UGH!

All I can say is it's a good thing these two can't talk, yikes!

I Hope This Works!

Trying something new here, a raised, slow feeder bowl for cats

Getting SO SO tired of cleaning up cat vomit all the time!

Did some research and seems cats often eat their food too fast, which introduces too much air into their stomachs and sometime they can also ingesting hair.  This combination makes the cats queasy thus causing them to puke.  It always surprises me at just how much unchewed food comes back up supporting the theory of them eating too fast.

Anyway, this new bowl is supposed to address these issues.  It's raised which puts the cat's mouth at a better position in relation to its stomach and helps the cat swallow more easily, it also reduces neck burden and with the raised "fins" at the bottom of the bowl, the cat needs to navigate to get the food, which slows them down and the quick eating.

It will be a worthwhile investment if it works, fingers crossed!!

An Omen?!

Had a furry visitor out back this morning - a fraidy cat.  I tried getting closer to get a better pic but he\she was having none of it and hightailed it outta there.

Happy to see this dude out there and hoping it's earning it's keep by catching rodents, like mice, chipmunks, rabbits, etc.

I Call "Shotgun", Of Sorts

Oliver the cat and Trixie the dog are in a constant battle for lounging places. Whether it's the dog create, the dog bed, the sunny spot by the sliding door or here pictured below in my recliner, UGH!

It's funny to see who gets what spot and then how quickly the other will claim the spot as soon as it's vacant.  Of course Oliver is simply a load but Trixie is vigilantly on watch and standing guard.

Frustratingly, I am the one who ends up with me rear-end covered in cat and dog hair, alas...

Cat Yoga Perhaps?!

This is typical for how Oliver lays around.  He stretches out without a care in the world and doesn't typically move either, nope.  He makes you step over him.

Who Are You and Where'd You Come From?!

Trixie dog supervising the introduction of Jack 2.0, our Holland Lop rabbit, to Oliver the cat.

Both were caution and kept their distance from one another. In the end it was super uneventful and a bust, with a handful of rabbit "smart pills" left behind by Jack 2.0

The Blind Leading The Blind

The dynamic duo, Trixie-dog and Oliver, stocking a blue-eyed chipmunk.  Sure they're so bold with the fence between them and the chipmunk, not to mention that the critter is already dead.

Oliver is letting Trixie-dog take the lead on this one...

Lincoln Street Vole Massacre

Walked into the kitchen to witness the vole crime scene.

Oliver's first confirmed kill!

I'm guessing he was so proud of himself that he wanted to share it with the rest of the family and the kitchen floor, which is a mess in and of itself...

Good boy!!
