Ants, ants and more ants; ants galore!
I believe this is what's referred to as "ant swarms". I tend to see them quite often in the spring, which could have something to do with mating and or the making of new colonies.
I find these swarms very beneficial, as it makes killing them with and spray so much easier and literally takes out the entire swarm.

There are too many ants as it is, so being able to kill them in bunches like this is great.
