Yellow Yellow...

My Jerusalem artichoke (Helianthus tuberosus) is doing very good this year.  They're the tallest they've ever been and full of beautiful yellow blooms that the bees and butterflies can't get enough of.

There was a horse farm in the neighboring town of Norfolk that had these flowers growing along the street, between the road and their fence.  They were always big and full, which got me jealous and wanting some too, so one day we stopped the car and literally pulled several right out of the ground and the rest, some 20+ years later, is history and on display below -
